As Professor of Surgery and Chief of Minimally Invasive Surgery at UC San Diego Health, Prof. Horgan is an internationally recognized expert in robot-assisted surgery, a pioneer in the surgical treatment of morbid obesity, and a specialist in the surgery and physiology of the esophagus.

This past weekend, Prof. Horgan was the guest of honor at our Shanghai headquarters.  Reflecting on his first series of labs with Carina, he pointed out the ability to get into all the correct planes and expose the mucosa, while leaving the outpouching with no char and no burn, is a testament to the precision, performance, and reliability of the system.
